Mammals

Mammals are a class of vertebrate animals distinguished by several key traits: they are warm-blooded, have hair or fur at some stage of life, and most give birth to live young, which are nourished by milk produced from mammary glands. This group includes a vast array of species—from subterranean burrowers and tree-dwellers to powerful swimmers and aerial gliders.
