Chiapas Native Plants

Chiapas’ varied topography includes highland pine-oak forests, tropical rainforests, and cloud forests. Native species range from majestic ceiba and liquidambar trees to orchids and tree ferns in misty mountain slopes. Lowland jungles are rich with palms, heliconias, and bromeliads. Seasonal wildflowers paint open areas with bright reds, yellows, and purples.
