Collection: Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna)

Anna’s Hummingbird is a medium-sized hummingbird native to the Pacific Coast of North America, from southern Alaska to Baja California. Unlike many hummingbirds, it can be found year-round in much of its range.

Males have striking iridescent pinkish-red throats and crowns, while females are mostly green and gray. They feed on nectar, insects, and sap, and are known for their energetic courtship displays and buzzing flight. Anna’s Hummingbird adapts well to urban gardens and feeders.
