Collection: Rudbeckia Genus

Rudbeckia is a genus of about 25 species of flowering plants often called coneflowers.  They are native mainly to North America, especially the United States and Canada. While they naturally occur in temperate regions, they have been introduced and cultivated widely in Europe and elsewhere.

They are typically herbaceous perennials or annuals, with some biennials, and are commonly found in meadows, prairies, savannas, and open woodlands.  They are pollinator-friendly, attracting bees, butterflies, and other insects. They are also drought-tolerant, adaptable to poor soils, and favored in restoration and native plant gardens for their resilience and long bloom periods.
