Michoacán Native Plants

Michoacán’s landscapes range from Pacific coastline to pine-oak highlands and volcanic plateaus. Forests shelter oyamel fir, pine, and oak, along with seasonal wildflowers that support migrating monarch butterflies. Lowland tropical areas feature parota, copal, and flowering shrubs. Agaves and cacti flourish in the drier interior valleys.
